Project: We don't waste food in our school cafeteria

Our school is launching a project that will involve preschool and elementary school students in the fight against food waste. Together, we will determine how to implement the project, and students will be co-creators of the entire process. We will create educational leaflets that we will present during a project week with the participation of parents and community representatives.

What students will learn:

• How food waste affects the climate.
• Where and how waste occurs in the food chain.
• How to reduce waste at school and at home.
• Measuring and graphing food waste.
• Creating an action plan for the school.

This project not only raises environmental awareness, but also brings practical steps for change in the school community.
