At our school, we focus on raising awareness among students about how to use food with as little waste as possible.
Fruit and vegetable counters in the school cafeteria have proven to be very successful. Children take only as much as they can eat.

Apple Day is special for its aroma and joyful atmosphere.

We prepare tastings, salads, learn about different apple varieties, traditional recipes from our region, and how to use apple peels for drying. The apple festivities continue at the Senec Apple Feast, where older students and parents from our school also participate. The proceeds from the sale of apple products will be used to purchase ingredients for our school kitchen. In December 2025, we baked Christmas cookies from these healthy ingredients, which the children enjoyed very much. The ambassador of this event was Katarína Tóthová, a judge from the popular competition Pečie celé Slovensko (All of Slovakia Bakes). She also contributed valuable practical advice from the culinary world.

We will continue to focus on creative solutions to this issue, because the health of our children is truly important.
