Základná škola s materskou školou Bánov

At school, we use a donation basket for fruit, yogurt, or cookies that students receive with their lunch but do not want. Students who like fruit, yogurt, or cookies can take them from this basket. We have had the basket for two years and since then we have managed to completely eliminate food waste in the canteen. 

We have organic waste bins in every classroom and we regularly compost the waste and use it as fertilizer for the orchard we have built at school.
