We prefer local food from Slovak farmers and primary producers.
We cook according to the season – we use what is currently growing.
We involve students in creating the school menu.
We grow microgreens.
We do not cook from semi-finished products.
We drink tap water and avoid bottled water.
We minimize food in plastic packaging.
We use fruit and vegetable peels to feed animals. We separate organic waste in classrooms. Plant-based milks are part of our offering.
Seasonal fruit is a natural part of our diet.
We learn about the journey fruit and vegetables take to our table.
We learn about the carbon footprint of food.
We use microgreens we have grown ourselves to prepare class breakfasts.
We teach each other about food.
We organize Earth Days.
We work with local farmers and rescue centers.
Preparing our own snacks teaches us responsibility.
We choose vegetables and fruit without unnecessary packaging.
Let's not forget: If I don't eat it, I don't take it. We support fair farms and organic farming. We prefer more flavors to more waste.
