We will not use plastic water bottles during sports days. We will encourage students to bring their own reusable water bottles or containers, which they can fill with water. This will help us reduce plastic use and the amount of plastic waste. In doing so, students will learn that small changes, such as using water bottles instead of plastic bottles, can help protect the environment. At school, we will encourage students to use reusable lunch boxes instead of plastic bags for their lunches. This will help us reduce the amount of plastic packaging that ends up in the trash every day. Students will track how much plastic they bring to school and brainstorm together how to replace it with more sustainable solutions. We will discuss why it is important to sort and recycle plastic. Our goal is to encourage students to manage waste more responsibly and to protect the environment. We will create various items from waste plastic; for example, we will turn plastic bottles into flower pots.
