Plastic free month in our school

The challenge was organized to raise students awareness of the importance of reducing plastic waste. Older students from the school, who were briefed in this topic, gave a presentation to the younger students about drinking water and about plastic waste. They presented facts about the current situation, explained the Vienna water system, and discussed together how to reduce the use of plastic bottles. The students worked in small groups to decide how to reduce plastic waste. The class decided on not buying plastic bottles for one month. After the challenge, the students in the class received reusable glass bottles.
