Rooted in Responsibility: A Seed’s Story

The students visited a company in Vienna called “Land in Sicht” and learned how food can be grown organically. In addition to learning about the topic, each student received a young plant to care for until harvest. Additionally, they have to keep a journal and they should document how the process unfolds. The students are encouraged to recognize how valuable food is and to reflect on food waste.

A quick tip for the students: If they are keeping a journal, they might want to include a "Waste Audit" section at the end to tie their personal plant's growth back to the larger goal of reducing food waste.
