After the Easter holidays, there are often large amounts of leftover food because people bought or cooked too much. That’s why Class 2b is hosting a “Leftovers Breakfast” on April 10, 2026, featuring dishes made from food scraps (including jams made from leftover carrots and fruit scraps, chocolate cake made from leftover chocolate bunnies, chocolate chips made from leftover chocolate and candy, a bonfire of stale Easter bread, a savory casserole made from leftover Easter meat, horseradish spread, fruit-carrot smoothies, etc.) to prevent the waste of valuable food and to demonstrate that “leftovers” can taste truly delicious (and for much longer than the best-before date would suggest).
